Queenin at the Duke Mansion

Happy Sunday loves!  It's Mother's Day weekend and I thought this a great time to share my complete look from my cover shoot for my publication, Queen City Magazine.  If you haven't noticed yet, I absolutely love the color blush (and any pastel for that matter).

I was actually undecided on my look for my cover shoot of my first print issue, and stumbled upon this dress, literally days before the shoot.  I was randomly strolling through a discount store buying some time while on my lunch hour when the blush sequins number caught my eye.  Immediately I assumed it wouldn't be my size, just because the things we love never are - lol, but guess what . . . . it was a 12!  And priced at 90% off.  JACKPOT

Talk about a picturesque day at the Duke Mansion.  The weather was a little chilly, but not too harsh.  The sun was perfect, and the mansion grounds were perfect for my cover, shot by my great friend and go-to photographer, Glen Graham of GBurke Images.

Because it was a little chilly on the day of the shoot, I actually grabbed this blush blazer as I was walking out the door to keep my arms cool, but when I put it on, I loved the look combined.  For added sparkle, I paired my blush Badgely Mischka pumps, a chocolate rhinestone purse, and layered rhinestone bracelets.

All in all, I love this look.  More pics below, and check out the finished cover.
