Pretty in Pink

If you truly know me, then you know I'm not necessarily a girlie girl, but I do enjoy being fancy.  It's been raining all week here but I decided that I'd had enough and that it was time to step out!  With the weather being so fickle, I opted not to wear a dress and went for a chic pant look instead.  This unique ensemble is courtesy of my online store, click HERE, and is a perfect look for a girls night out or dinner date with the boyfriend/hubby!

I absolutely LOVE the fitted look of this jumpsuit and the belt cinches the waist perfectly to display my curves.  Paired with a pink/yellow bauble necklace (from Elle VJ) and a pair of fuchsia/yellow pair of Kenneth Cole pumps and I'm ready to strut.

Dropped in on a fashion show at the NC Music Factory and ran into the radio diva, Chirl Girl and the beautiful Bianca Golden from America's Next Top Model.

Elle of the Ball . . . . . The BIG Event

As many of you know, I've been hosting intimate events centered around my Elle of the Ball concept which incorporates getting dolled up and fancy for no one other than YOURSELF while mixing and mingling with ladies of similar likeness.  Our soiree and brunch events earlier this year were absolutely wonderful and now it's time to press forward to the BIG event . . . . the actual ball.

Mark your calendars for Friday, December 5th at the Courtyard by Marriott as I host the first annual Elle of the Ball here in Charlotte, NC.  It's going to be nothing short of amazing as guests will be able to:  SHOP - PAMPER - EAT - DRINK - MINGLE

About Elle of the Ball

Elle of the Ball is a women's event series that embraces dressing up, being fancy, and glamorous - all in the name of YOU.  Getting fancied for oneself, not a man or date, while socializing and having cocktails with other fanciful women.

With so many "networking" events that prove to be anything but that, Elle of the Ball seeks to bring women together for an evening of socializing and celebration, i.e actually getting to know each other and basking in our beauty.  A celebration of individuality, beauty, and an opportunity to get dressed up for no one but ourselves - We hope to see each of you there!

Celeb Inspired Style . . . . Zendaya

During random Instagram surfing, I came across this week's cover of Rolling Out Magazine (based out of Atlanta, GA) featuring the beautiful and talented Zendaya Coleman.  In the spread Zendaya sports a beautiful yellow necklace that's somewhat similar to my Crystaline piece currently sold in the online store.

This statement piece comes with matching earrings and also comes in a beautiful Seafoam Green.  Check out pics below of me sporting this piece on Tuesday!

Shopping With Elle: Florals + Coral

I've committed to blogging moreso than before so I'm trying out these "Look of the Day" posts.  I'll showcase my daily wears and how I pair my daily ensembles.  Today's look is casual and chic, just a little something I threw on to run the the bank and take care of a few errands!  It's very moderately priced and can be achieved by anyone, even those on a tight budget.  Check it out below.

Testimony Tuesday

As many of you know, I'm working on my new social series titled Elle of the Ball.  For those of you that don't, here it is in a nutshell . . . .

A celebration of individuality, beauty, and an opportunity to get dressed up for no one but ourselves.

Now that we've gotten that out of the way, the Charlotte edition of EOTB will take place on Friday, December 5th at the Courtyard by Marriott and today . . . . . . . (drum roll) I signed the contract to bring EOTB to the Raleigh market in the summer of 2015 with our host venue and hotel being the Four Points by Sheraton.  WHOOP-WHOOP!  I was so excited with this news that I had to blog my "Look of the Day".

The dress is an Elle VJ "throwback" that I've only worn once and the accessories are also Elle VJ . . . available HERE.

The Crop Effect

So it's been about a month since my last post and I've been missing sharing my personal style with you guys.  Long story short, my father is been really ill and I've taken on the task of caring for him . . . . in addition to my daughter, my businesses, and last but not least me!  I finally decided that I was much overdue to "step out" as I like to call it, or in this case date night!

I've had these mint and peach floral pants for at least 6-8 weeks and decided this weekend was THE weekend for me to step out and strut.  Now the top, a peach lace crop top, that I picked up for less than $10 at a local department store, was the perfect match for this look.  When I purchased it, I had no idea it was this short, but hey . . . when in Rome.  Traditionally I'm a little reserved, but thought I'd go with the trend this time and embrace the crop!  Coincidentally, my peach pumps that I splurged on for my Elle of the Ball Ballantyne Brunch in April were the perfect compliment!

I'm guessing you guys were digging this look as it's the most popular look I've posted to date on Facebook!  Maybe I'll try it again . . . . .
