Greener on the Other Side

Green lately?  While I'm not a poster child for going green and saving the environment, I must admit to being green with envy when I saw this amazing little number in one of my favorite vintage stores.  Imagine coming across such a beautiful hue that's form fitting and flattering to ALL your womanly curves such as this!  Did I mention that it has both horizontal and vertical pleats . . . . yeah buddy!

I literally pieced this outfit together within a matter of a couple hours!  I'm the girl that NEVER puts together a complete look from one locale, that just isn't as fun.  Cue the music to Wonder Woman and watch me work, lol.

Just a few doors down from the vintage shop I frequent is a relatively new retail outlet, FROCK Shop, which is a fabulous haven of unique goodies.  I saw this unique floral clutch on their Facebook page and immediately knew I had to have it, just my luck it was a perfect match for my new dress!  In and out within 20 minutes (of course I had to browse a little) and it was off to find the perfect shoe!

Because I'm an avid shopper (and proud of it) I already knew the perfect shoe to compliment this look!  The Guess pointed toe Eloy2 floral print pump with a fuchsia patent heel.  PERFECT . . . . well after the addition of the blue chunky jewels I scored at Burlington's.

Elle of the Ball: Brunch at the Ballantyne

Last Saturday, April 5th, marked the 2nd installment of my social series, Elle of the Ball as I hosted a fabulous Brunch at the Ballantyne Resort with some of the areas most stylish and leading ladies.  To say that I enjoyed myself is an understatement!  These ladies presented themselves with such poise, grace, and style!

We embarked upon an afternoon filled with laughter, candid conversations, sharing our personal stories, and of course our love of style!

What I Wore

I ended up wearing this colorful gold and coral pleated dress with a whimsical flair that I've actually had in my closet for about 3 years and have only worn once before.  It was actually a backup look that I had in the car (luckily) since my intended dress was still being tailored.  Although not my original choice, this was actually a better look and exuded more of the spring brunch feel than my original selection.

I ordered these AMAZING melon colored pumps from DSW (Badgley Mischka inspired) and paired this beautiful melon quilted Chanel inspired bag from TJ Maxx to complete the look.  Lastly, these green chandelier earrings that were gifted to me from Teal House Boutique to set the look!

Elle of the Ball is a women's cocktail event that embraces dressing up, being fancy, and glamorous - all in the name of YOU.  Getting fancied for oneself, not a man or date, while socializing and having cocktails with other fanciful women.
DATE(S):  Friday, February 7th - Saturday, April 5th - Friday, June 6th - Friday, August 1st - Saturday, October 4th - Friday, December 5th
*please note that April 5th & October 4th are our spring and fall brunch events and take place on a Saturday - all other events are on a Friday
With so many "networking" events that prove to be anything but that, I want to bring women together for an evening of socializing and celebration, i.e actually getting to know each other and basking in our beauty.  A celebration of individuality, beauty, and an opportunity to get dressed up for no one but ourselves - I hope to see each of you there!
