STYLE STORY: Panther's Pride

So today the Carolina Panthers took on the San Francisco 49ers here in Charlotte and the entire city was buzzing with black and blue fever.  I too decided to join in the fun and support the home team, after all I am a Charlotte native (one of the few).  Of course I wasn't going to get suited in a jersey and jeans, so I decided to put a "glam" twist on the black and blue "get up".
This look was built around the AMAZING blue dupioni silk blazer by Ellen Tracy (line sold at Nordstrom's).  I've had it on reserve in the back of my closet, as my original plan was to switch out the buttons for something with a little more "razzle dazzle" (yes, I'm extra!), but I'll save that for a later post, possibly a remix.  Nevertheless, I decided to pair the blazer with a slim fitting black midi dress (a remaining piece from Elle VJ Boutique) and just my luck, I remembered this stunning pair or blue sparkle pumps I'd seen at Off Broadways Shoes a couple of weeks before (that was a last minute dash to the store . . . . i.e compulsive buy).

The final result . . . . . a black and blue tribute to the Carolina Panthers.  Unfortunately we did not win the game, but I'm very proud of the team and all of their success this football season.  #KeepPounding
